today macnn posts this news about an alternative to iCal's web function with .Mac:
---------
iBlog converts iCal calendars to web blogs (http://www.macnn.com/news.php?id=16677)
VisualNewt Software's iBlog (http://www.visualnewt.com/Products/Mac/iBlog/Details.html) converts Apple iCal calendars to web blogs. It requires no server-side components other than the availability of a web site with FTP access, iCal and Mac OS X. iBlog also supports simple templating built around HTML. A demo of the $25 utility is available online and a limited-time $5 discount is available to those who submit a template for use with the program.
---------
1- the iBlog site (http://www.visualnewt.com/Products/Mac/iBlog/Details.html) doesn't show what it looks like online (only app panels).
2- i'm not sure if it's worth the cash.
3- i wonder if there are other options to get iCal to publish to the web other than .Mac.
4- doesn't it seem sensible that iCal should be able to do this directly from the app? (just like iPhoto can publish to a non-.Mac site)
so what alternatives are there?
