UNIX disktools

I have installed a new harddisk with all unix-partitions. It doesn't work properly, and I would like to check it with a good disk-tool. Are there any unix-disktools out there? Diskwarrior in OS9 doesn't see these partitions. I haven't tried techtool in OS9. Drive10 doesn't see them either. :mad:

Or is it a bad idea to use unix-partitions? What are the advantages? I must admit that I just selected it without really knowing what would be best.

If you mean UFS, it's better to use HFS+ with OS X. UFS is primarily there for compatibility reasons with other Unix operating systems, but it's not the optimal one for OS X.
