Has anyone had experience with the speech to text functionality of the new Dragon Dictation app?
(esp. now that they have removed the insane requirement to have your contacts uploaded to them.)

thanks

A couple colleagues have tried it and love it.

It works amazingly well. And I didn't mind sending my contact names, which they only use to improve the voice recognition.

This app is only available on the US store it seems. I read that the app uploads your Address Book to its servers in order to improve its accuracy although there might be some confidentiality concerns about this.

I wasn't able to install it on my iTouch, as it said it wasn't compatible, even though with the microphone it should have worked. Oh well, I got it when it was free, so no loss.

Haha... So they updated the app to support iPod touches with mics, with apparently now something is wrong with the headphone port of my iPod and the remote and mic features of the earphones wont work...

I'm quite amazed at how good it is. And to be a free app to boot.
