I'll say it again... 5,961 Views / 40 Replies
This is just a big calculated PR stunt by LuxPro! They would be really stupid to bring it onto the market. What they are doing is to ride on iPod's publicity to for their own PR gains. Up to this...

Gosh! Those supporting DPP are going to get you over your statement!

Firstly, I've been through both and have to say that the last version of 1.2.3 had speeds equivalent to that of 1.3DP if not better, and the current 1.2.4 improved on that. In other words, 1.3DP is...

Thanks Sandsl for the info.

Sounds like that FileVault is similar to that PGP Disk thing which I kind of like. It would be nice if Panther.x could also provide something similar where one can...

One should consider carefully what is the value of data security vs risk of data loss without recovery.

What would happen should the HD crashes? Would any of the data recovery services able to...

Wow, so 7b85 gets its first software update with iSync 1.2.1 and iSync Palm 1.2.... This is even before we even get wind of 1.3.1.

Long live the Panther!

I don't doubt the fact that Apple, as well as all major software vendors, have a very strong group of beta testers working for or with them. However, there's a difference b/n that tester group and...

All current 7b85 users are beta testers... By Apple design! 1,661 Views / 11 Replies
Ok guys. I strongly suspect that this leaked 7b85 GM is a deliberate arrangement on Apple's part to further beta test their GM, a major release at that. Now, how else can they get a wider range of...

Neither macStumbler nor iStumbler would work in 7b85. They can launch but just don't register anything.

I wouldn't touch Norton in the first place. Further, it's good that it can't see any of the Panther drives. Who knows what kinds of damage it can do should one decide to "repair" their drive with it....

7b85, GM and PGP 54,516 Views / 456 Replies
Firstly, PGP will certainly help you your keys.

As for whether 7b85 is GM. I note that it does not have any new desktop graphics that's common with new OS releases and the old Jaguar spotted...
