I've got a slightly different version of that scheme deployed on one site, which uses GD to resize a photo on upload and generate a thumbnail that's stored elsewhere. (It's a slower server that I...

I have a dual 1GHz QS ('02 -- ordered the day they were announced) that I've had since February 16 2002. It's been largely trouble-free. I've had only one problem I would attribute to actual machine...

OK, after the disappointing ROKR, I think I've narrowed it down to the 800 or the 750. I have a few questions though, as I'm about ready to get out of the mobile stone age.

1.67GHz / 2GB RAM /128 MB VRAM.
I was doing all my testing on my last project with 1GB RAM and yeah, VPC with XP was dog slow. VPC with Win 98 or Win2K seems much better. If you can shoehorn 2GB...

I'd say it depends on how much you value your ability to check on a PC when you need to. I recently completed a project where I was on the client's site and using my Powerbook. When I was in the mode...

For what it's worth, I'd see if you can possibly pull off a CMS and some translating code on whatever your budget may be. I rolled out a contribute-based site early in the year and while it initially...

Radeon 9800/2002 Quicksilver quick question 573 Views / 1 Replies
Hey, everyone. I have a quick question. I've been eyeing the Radeon 9800 (g4 edition) card as an upgrade to my Quicksilver 2002 dual 1GHz PowerMac. The one thing I'm curious about is the note that it...
