I agree with pete. If you want it go get. My personal recommendation is the PB 15'. It is a great value, and compromise between desktop replacement and portability.

I ran the update, I also formated it under disk ulitity and still shows the folder with the ! mark. I can mount the iPod on the desktop, open it, and save files to it. Still no joy.

Certainly, if you are not pleased with the PB, and it was recently purchased, return it. I have a new 15, and although I love the keyboard, and the feel of the keys, they do appear slightly uneven....

My PB is my primary Mac. I have a external HD and Harmon Kardon speakers attached. For my purposes I see no need for a desktop anymore. The PB supplies all the power I need, and love the portability.
