As far as the pro keys go, key purchased after QT5 was announced (I beleive Oct '00) will work. Keys older than that won't.

Well, I got a lot further. I downloaded that binary, expanded it, then cd'd to that directory, then sudo make install. NCurses seemed to install alright.

Now back to my BitchX installer problems....

I'm not sure if that's a premiere issue or not. You have a TRV11 so your camera can input via firewire (some cameras don't!). Perhaps try saving the DV file and opening it with iMovie or Final Cut...
