i am just after buying a big disk triple interface 500 gig hard drive for my 15inch power book. i follow the installation instruction (just plug it in really) and it should mount on my desk...

hello,
i have the identical problem u are having, even the same thing being reported in my console logs,
i can work around it by lauching the program using /usr/bin/open-x11 as root user.
