I'm connecting my new G5 to my Quicksilver using a cat6 cable and the machines aren't connecting at 1000mb/s, only 100. If I force them to connect at 1000, they just don't connect.

Any ideas?

The heatsink assembly may not be making proper contact with the cpu. This can happen if the tech torqued the screws too much and ended up loosening the heatsink standoffs attached to the motherboard....

BTW, the subject should obviously read 1.6, not 2.6. This 12" PB needs a backlit keyboard.

I replaced the fan in my Quicksilver psu with one that runs off a molex connector and the machine didn't care. Didn't put a resistor over the unused pins or anything.
