My parents have a 350 MHz iMac with 1GB (2 x 512MB), 80GB 7200rpm drive running Tiger.

It is slow but it gets there in the end and in some ways the computer just takes as much time to grind...

Yes you can use the same floppy disks in both Macs (OS X and OS 7-9) and Windows. Just make sure you format the disks for the PC, and the Mac will cope with that.

An external USB floppy disk drive...

Help!

In the Finder, when I select "Connect to Server..." (or use command-K) nothing happens. The menu disappears, but no window pops up to let me choose a server.

All working fine a few days...
