I have been able to connect to the Mac HD from the PC (Windows XP), but I Can NOT connect to the PC from the mac? The computer will not show up in the servers list! What should I do?

My password and log in are already typed in, but I still have to click the Log In button everytime. I want this so that whenever I start up safari it automatically logs me into my home site.

It wont open. I try open it from textedit and it says: Open Failed
Could not open file
when i open it it in MS Word it has a bunch of weird looking letters and different assorted characters.
