Hi,

I'm posting this in case anyone else encounters this problem. I make extensive use of the Terminal (learned Unix before Macs...) and, as I found out, the "tar" command can sometimes dump out...

I saw a review of DVD burning software awhile back that put iDVD first and CaptyDVD up there in the rankings too - though it did not support motion menus. Apparently version 2 does, and it...

Naw, go ahead and buy one. I did a month ago, and love it.
The screen size and brightness are terrific - makes an old PC
laptop look pretty lame. And the speed is very good. I am waiting

I recently bought a new powerbook. I am relieved Apple didn't go with
extremely high resolution; I don't want to read microprint. I find it

Well, I bought the 800 MHz, which is sitting next to me doing the wireless thing at work (which is easy to use, by the way, and I'm in a mostly PC or Linux environment). Why 800? My reasoning was...

I've just ordered a 800 MHz powerbook.

The specs for Final Cut Pro 3.0.2 using a laptop recommend 384 MB ram and a 667 MHz G4 processor. So get the low-end powerbook, but up it to 512M of ram.
