I use RDC daily both over ethernet at work and over airport-DSL-VPN from home to administer a number of 2K servers. Works like a charm.

I currently vpn in to my win2k server using the PPTP client in 10.2. works great for all IP traffic incl. AFP/IP.

I also use remote desktop to remotely control the server, it works...
