The Combo Drive is waaay louder than anything else on the computer, and makes periodic (~1 s apart)...

There are no real viruses for the Mac OS X, despite what you might hear on the news. So, you don't really need an antivirus...

I haven't heard about any logic board faliures with the iBook G4's .... i'm pretty sure it's a complete redesign and so (hopefully) it won't have any of the same issues.

I would have chosen the 15 inch one....it has a lot higher resolution... unfortunately the 14 inch iBook doesn't have that advantage.

I'm not too worried about having/not having a superdrive...
