Obviously when I first started chasing down Apple Support, I didn't expect it to take this long to have it repaired. Now that I have invested even more time and money, why would I take another $4000...

That's the thing... I have all this trouble... and I DO HAVE AN APPLECARE PACKAGE. Yet, all they are willing to do is attempt repairs at Authorized Service Providers. I don't even have the option...

I am the owner of a Powerbook G4 500 laptop. Originally this unit cost me approx $6,000 CAN ($4,000 USD) when purchased around Jan 2001. Unfortunately, the computer is unable to boot from harddrive...
