Be advised... This will not reset your keychain password. I just did this for a machine at work and we had to recreate his keychain since we couldn't find the old password that a previous user had...

I had a similar problem with my new iBook. Similar in the fact that the only thing that froze up was the right side of my menu bar.

My problem was that the iBook was looking for a server from work...

For some reason I was unable to use the keyboard shortcuts to switch between tabs but closing one tab via keyboard shortcut wasn't a problem I had... I've upgraded to 10.3 though

Use Safari's somewhat undocumented Snap Back feature.

Mark the page that you are going to want to view again by typing cmd-opt-k to mark it for snap back.
