Anyway, the short plug that fits on the PSU doesn't connect the ground. You need to use the Long lead, that will solve your problem.

sounds like an earthing problem on the PSU. If you lightly brush your hand over the metal surface you should feel a gentle tingling. I suspect you are probably using the plug that attaches directly...

I have both a 2 GHz CD MBP and a 2.33 GHz C2D MBP, the C2D is faster and runs MUCH cooler, IMHO its additional performance is worth $500. ;)

Not forgetting 64bitness for future :)
