I didn't really get into SH2. The style of gameplay (find a key, open a new room, find another key, open another room, etc) isn't for me. I also hated the controls and forced view angles.

I usually only use cmd-W, cmd-Q and cmd-N. I don't try to memorize the others for anything, because my keyboard sucks, so it's generally easier to just use the mouse.

I had the same setup/problems as you. Erased Panther, and that fixed everything. To open documents properly, right click and select open with... and choose the 10.2 version of the application.
