Whatever Apple calls this thing, it HAS to be more affordable. I personally know several people who would love to go mac but who can't afford to get even an eMac. Low-cost in today's PC market...

The fact is that Apple is on the verge of pricing themselves out of business. The eMac and iBook lines are really Apple's only affordibly priced computers. And an 85 lb eMac is NOT a good computer...

I'm running 10.2.8 on a Rev B. I use it for light web surfing and running a dictd server. For a while it was running a pennmush server, too. It's not blindingly fast, but it gets the job done.

Ah, turned out it was a firewall issue. I had disabled web proxies on our firewall. Reenabling it solved my problem.
