When I loaded Classic 10 minutes ago, it started an app called "Classic Support UI" automatically. I've never seen this before, and just wondering why it's there and what it really does.

If you take a look at this screenshot you can see for yourself what I'm talking about. The window in the upper right corner said something like "rebuilding desktop" if I'm not totally wrong. But this was not the "normal" rebuilding desktop window, and it all was a very fast process.

Anyway, Classic works just fine, but it's always nice to know what's going on

Yeah, same thing happened to me for the first and last time yesterday, Monday, December 17.

I didn't have any problems at all, but I decided to re-start classic and all was well.

Anybody have any info?

I get this sometimes too. After the "Rebuilding Desktop" bit finishes (or is canceled), Classic Support UI hangs around my Dock until I reboot, log out, or kill Classic. It doesn't seem to do any harm, though it is a little annoying to have it eating up space in my Dock like that...

I had it as well.

I ended up re-installing Classic, but I was having other problems(with locked files)......long story.

But I hated it, and it was bugging the hell out of me.

Sorry I can't offer much knowledge on this - just to let you know that you are not alone with this.

Hey..Karbon - I see you are from Norway.....do you know Royksopp?
