Hello,
is there some way to show virtual drive in Finder containing folders and files which are virtual, i.e. doesn't really exist in file system, but read from database, for example.

Thank you.

I've not got much idea myself on how to do this, but you can certainly write a file system driver (at the BSD level) which would then work not only in the Finder, but in all other applications' open/save dialogues. In this case, the FS driver would not read/write a disk as such, but read/write a database.

OK, this certainlly will do, but it sounds a bit scarry for me.
Are there some examples of this? Or have you done something similar? If yes, how much time one needs to accomplish this?

Any hints are welcome.
