Ever since I installed Acrobat Professional, MS Word & Excel default to loading the PDFmaker toolbar. I can turn it off each time it launches, but I can't seem to figure out how to keep it from launching altogether. Anybody know the trick?

It may not be possible - kinda like the Excel Reviewing Toolbar that is persistent. My solution was write a one line code to hide the Reviewing bar, then attach it to a button on the main toolbar. Not ideal, but it works with just a click of the button.

This MIGHT help you:

EDIT:

Also where it says delete, you might want to make a copy/rename just in case this is not the solution.

Much easier than removing the Reviewing Toolbar!
