I tried using Safari and really like the GUI. Many sites I frequent download *much* faster with Safari than with IE 5.2. Some of the stock photo sites I use for work do not properly display in Safari.

A few days after downloading Safari my IE and Entourage preferences were corrupted causing me a great deal of inconvenience (ie. not able to open Entourage or IE, etc.). I then tried Chimera which worked reasonably well but the same stock photo sites that Safari chocked on caused Chimera some trouble.

So, has anyone had prefs become corrupted after installing Safari? I'd like to try it again but want to avoid any repeated hassles. Just trying to isolate the cause for my problems.

Thx.

Which build do you have? Make sure you have version 0.8.1 (build number 51). It fixes a problem that if you control-click something it will delete the home folder.

I've been using Safari daily since it's release and haven't had any corrupted preferences problems. I did have trouble purchasing a font from an online font foundry but nothing bad happened as a result...

v60 is the latest public release.
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

I think we should keep this thread talking about the new v60 release, shouldn't we? It has the best (and most promising) title anyway!
