I don't think you can be a 4 year old and be a brony, by definition.

Is that short for, "jabroni?"

What does it mean if someone calls you a jabroni? A kid blurted out and called me a jabroni on the bus in front of public? What is that exactly?

Resolved Question:

Best Answer jabroni Definition: in professional wrestling, a wrestler who loses in order to make another wrestler look good; also called jobber

I don't find anything wrong with the show itself. I don't cringe when my daughters put it on -- it is one of the better written kids' shows on television. But I don't get why the bronies are into it Then again, out of my group of best friends in High School, I was the only one who really wasn't into Anime. I suspect kawaii doesn't work on me.

If you insist on getting into a kids show as an adult, get into Phineas and Ferb. Secret Agent Platypus >> Ponies with Tramp Stamps.

Edit: I am rethinking giving that advice, besson3c may start posting pictures of squirrels in his pants now.

My kids also have started watching it. It is surprisingly humorous and not as cloying as I imagined. d

But yes, Phineas and Ferb FTW.

We have a bunch of the original My Little Ponies in our house. They were my wife's when she was a child. They still get put to good use all these years later.

I think this whole "bronie" thing is a weird game of hipster chicken. No one "really" likes the show, but they all act as if they do, or even convince themselves that they do. But what they are really doing is trying to prove some sort of weird point about how kooky they are.

What they really enjoy is the idea of how ridiculous it is for them to like the show.

"Look at me! I like My Little Pony! I'm a unique flower! Look at me... no seriously... LOOK AT ME!"

I've seen the show. It's a slightly above average children's cartoon targeted towards girls. It's quality is no higher than a few other dozen shows aimed at kids. Kids shows as a whole have gotten a lot better in the last decade or so.

My sig is 1 pixel too big.

I doubt this is true. I've never seen it, but I've heard everywhere that it's pretty well-written. Almost like a Pixar of tv cartoons.
