I've got a Core Duo Mac Mini that has always booted in diagnostic mode since I've had it. I get the initial grey screen then it goes black and diagnostic text scrolls past in white until it gets to the login part of the boot process.

Has anyone else seen this and how do I stop it happening?

I had this on my refurbd ICD iMac. It stopped booting this way when I applied the SMC Firmware patch for BootCamp. I also applied an OS update the same day, so I'm not sure which might have solved the problem.

Are you running the latest .8 release? If so, you might try the firmware upgrade and see if it helps.
