The trackpad on my 600mhz iBook has developed a sort of creaking noise towards the bottom (near the button), anybody else noticed this? It's also not near fast enough for me, even with the speed cranked all the way up, any way I get it to go a little faster (some sort of behind the scene OS hack maybe?)

Not sure about the creaking.
For speed- how much RAM do you have? What MacOS version are you using? If you're using OSX, how much hard drive space is left? What are you generally doing with your iBook when the speed bothers you the most? Does restarting the computer speed things up, or is it persistently too slow?
