$500 or best offer (shipping included). (Reduced from $600/obo on 10/13/2004)

Bought July 2000, one owner, works perfectly, very clean (the computer, not the owner )

I'm in Austin, TX and will ship in the US.

  • 14" screen.
  • 400 Mhz
  • 768 Meg RAM
  • 40 Gig Hard Drive (installed in Fall 2003)
  • CD/DVD player (original)
  • 2 Firewire ports, 2 USB ports, S-Video out, Ethernet and 56k modem.
  • Comes with original box, manuals, and adapters.
  • Airport wireless card (regular Airport 802.11b, not the current faster version).
  • Current version of OS X "Panther" 10.3.5 installed with up-to-date upgrades and patches. OSX CD-ROMs included. (Note that there is no third party software installed on this machine).
  • Replaced the power adapter and power cord (official Apple replacements, not third-party)
  • Bright screen with no dead pixels. Screen hinges are in perfect condition, with no cracks or creaks.
  • Runs OSX really well. Snappy performance from most applications, and even decent performance from Photoshop. It's not a gaming machine, though...
  • Lovingly cared for. It even has new rubber "feet" and the hinged door over the rear ports.
  • Original battery, which means you shouldn't expect much more than about 45 minutes out of it.
  • IMO, this is still one of the most appealing Powerbook designs, and is actually more comfortable to type on than the current designs. The keyboard surface never gets hot, and you can actually use the computer on your lap comfortably.
