Ok,
How can I get the alarms in iCal to work again. Not sure what happened but recently, I noticed that when I set an alarm for an upcoming event in iCal the alarm did not trigger. Do I need to reinstall iCal ??? I am running OS X 10.2.8 Jaguar and iCal 1.5.5 When I set an alarm, the alarm does not trigger nor apear. I always set an alarm with sound but now nothing happens when the alarm is supposed to apear. HELP !!! Peace out . . .

Check iCal -> Preferences -> Advanced. There is a check box for "Turn off alarms when iCal is not open"
If this item is checked, then the iCal alarms will only activate when iCal is running. Click it off to allow iCal's alarms to run even when iCal isn't.
