So we have our iPhones and now we want to make this battery keep its life for as long as possible. Whats is the official best strategy.

Do we let the battery run totally dead every time before recharging?

Do we leave a small charge before recharging?

Do we just charge whenever we feel like it?

If I sync when the battery is half charged will this degrade it at all?

Will anything we do make a difference?

Never charge it to full, never drain it to dead. Keep bouncing around in the middle.

I'm concerned about the battery life too, but I found a site that has a longer lasting replacement iPhone battery, from the prices listed for their iPod battery replacement it looks like it will be a less expensive and better alternative than sending it to Apple when it wears out.
