"Everything should be taken in moderation, including moderation."

My family is updating our family crest/coat of arms. We didn't have a quote before except on our Scottish side ("Ora et labora.") So we decided on the above.

Was hoping it could be translated into Latin (or as close as possible.) Anyone here know Latin?

I’m not sure exactly what to do about ‘including’ in Latin. Includo can mean ‘to include’, but more often it means ‘to close off, to trap, to incarcerate, to contain’, so I think either includendum or inclusus would seem strange for the modern meaning of ‘including’. So I paraphrased

I’d suggest, Omnia moderate accipiendum, sic item moderatio. For brevity, you could skip the verb completely and just say, Omnia moderate, indidem moderatio (not sure if there’s much of a difference between sic item and indidem—they both mean something like ‘thus also’ or ‘likewise’). The latter might be a bit better suited for heraldic purposes.

Thanks guys. I'll post a picture as soon as it's done.
