A friend of mine bought a scooter and crashed a block from the dealer as he was driving away.
Broke his shoulder.
True story.
(have fun!)

Congrats. I was in the Yamaha club for a while, I miss it. I had a V-star 650. Very solid performer.

That's not a scooter, surely that's a real motorcycle. I recognize those front calipers as being from a Yamaha. I used to own a YZF600R:
Great bike... have fun

Yes it's a scooter; it doesn't have a clutch lever. =P

How many cars and scooters do you own now? Your parking garage must be huge!

Really... it sure looks like a full fledged motorcycle. As sporty as my old YZF600R, which had a clutch and six-speed gearbox.
Anyways, have fun with your new ride

I beg to differ, but the C90 is a real motorcycle (in miniature form), as it lacks a floor and has instead foot pegs. I fondly recall the 73 screaming CCs of power in my own C90's heart... Automatic clutch, but manual shifting, and something like 55MPG riding everywhere...
A lot of modern scooters are simply styled to look a lot like bikes, but with step-through frames and floor boards. I have to say that the layout of this particular scooter looks a lot moe maneuverable than older ones. It has tall enough wheels, and the angles make it look like it will corner pretty well too, a lot better than a classic scooter with tiny wheels and the rider half a meter over the axles...

So the 458 went bye bye? Hope you didn't take a bath selling it.

Yeah it's gone. Of the time i owned it, I realized that driving it around was mostly about impressing the others due to the money involved. (it costs around USD500k here in Hong Kong) Did i enjoy the driving? of course i did. but i had never driven it "freely" like how i drove some of my other rides. In the end i managed to sell it at 2% less of what i paid.

Wow, I don't like scooters, but I wouldn't mind owning that.

Wow, that's one heck of a markup, I don't blame you (I imagine taxes are ~half of that). You live in an urban area, can't drive it the way it's intended due to restrictions, and have to constantly worry about keeping it safe (even in a locked car park). Though they're amazing cars, one of the greatest, it doesn't matter if you can't realize its potential. It's like having an awesome yacht but you live in Phoenix.
