So today I finally got to the point that I plain didn't like my Palm anymore (I have had various iterations of them from the original Palm Pilot Professional). I had a Newton 2100 for a while, and although I loved it, the thing was just too big. Since then, I've been looking for something that worked like the Newton but in a Palm factor. Today I replaced my cheapie Clie (SJ22) with an iPaq 1945.

Sooo...I have a few questions I hope the collective wisdom of the board can answer:

1) I bought The Missing Sync, which seemed to be the best reviewed. I've managed to get it to sync via bluetooth and through the USB cable. But it's flakey. It mounted reliably the first few times, but now it doesn't. Can someone walk me through the process/setting for getting it to sync reliably? Any standard issues that keep it from syncing?

2) Is there any way to get the battery power to show in the "Today" view? I don't imagine it's going to be that much of an issue, but I'd like to have it there just in case.

3) Does TMS not sync up mail? Again, not a huge issue. I'm just curious.

4) Is there a way to move Word documents back and forth? A converter I've not found?

5) Are there any must-have apps you folks might recommend? I'm totally green here and am willing to get my feet wet.

6) Can I install TMS on multiple computers? I have three Macs (two at home, one at work) and would like to keep them all synced up. This isn't all that much of an issue as I have .Mac, but it'd still be nice.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Scott
