I know that I'm opening myself up for heavy criticism, but screw it .
I seriously have the worst posture on the planet. I stand up straight and all that, but I think about everything way too much. I never know where the crap to put my hands when I'm just standing, or where to put 'em when I'm talking, or when to lean on anything and how to do that without looking completely gay (which wouldn't be a problem, but I'm not gay), etc.
It's obviously a self-confidence issue, but no matter how confident I get conversationally, I can't seem to gain any confidence in this realm.
Make fun of me all you want, but has anyone else ever had trouble with posture? Besides "Stop thinking and just be yourself," which doesn't really work because I can't stop thinking, does anyone have any advice?

While you're doing all that thinking, consider that no one really cares what you look like when you're standing around. Seriously. If anything, they're thinking of what they look like while they're standing around.

Just gesticulate a lot when you talk. Then you don't have to worry about what to do with your hands.

Shouldn't that be done in private?

No one conciously cares, and people are also thinking about how they are presenting themselves, but subconsiously posture definetely makes a difference. People subconsciously judge you on your posture before you even open your mouth. That's what I've heard, at least, and it seems to be quite true.

I would put one hand on my waist, pushing away your jacket. I know it is a female movie, but in the recent Pride and Prejudice Darcy is standing in a living room it is about 1h00 into the movie if I am not wrong. And I would not worry so much about this little thing anyway; let the people talk it is entertainment on your part to listen to them.
