I've tried to copy apps folder which I've done before and got this,

The operation cannot be completed because the item "wmphelp.htm" is locked. I clicked ok, and then nothing happens.

I even searched for this file and nothing came up. any ideas appreciated. thanks.

Is it in the browser cache or something of that sort?

WMPHELP.HTM is inside the Windows Media Player application package. This file isn't locked for me though.

It's not in a folder, it's inside the app. (control-click -> show package contents) Windows Media Player.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/HelpPages/wmphelp.htm

Upon closer inspection, the file inside the English.lproj folder isn't locked, but the files in the other language folders ARE locked. This shouldn't be a problem anyway, but try moving WMP by itself and see if you get the same error.

Ok everything seems to by copying ok now. It seemed I had to delete the old backup apps folder in that hardrive to get a newer one over there. I guess something in the older one there inbibiting the copy? not sure. And that windows media folder copied by itself ok. thanks!
