Kernel panics aren't creating logs

For some reason, when I have kernel panics, a log isn't created. Is there some setting I missed that would allow this?

Nope... as long as you are running 10.2 or later (at least I think it was 10.2).

But if you boot into verbose mode, the kernel panic will come up on the screen. You should be wary of your data storage hardware (IDE, hard drive, etc...).

Very odd...I'm running in 10.3.7...no log. How do I boot up in verbose mode?
