I am looking for some CAD and CAM (computer aided manufacture) software for a local school, which is currently using a selection of really old Amiga and Acorn type computers for their design / technoligy and graphics work.

The rest of the school makes exceptional use of macs, so are looking to do so with the technology area. They already have packages such as fireworks and photoshop, but need either a free or very cheap CAD and or CAM type application.

ANybody got any suggestions?

there was a news message on the main MacNN page a few days (maybe weeks) ago about a new release of a CAD program for Macs, I'll see what I can find.
