I have Bell South DSL network with a D-link router. Whenever I try to upload to server the connection literally crawls. Surfing, download speed normal, network works flawless. Been on phone several times with Bellsouth and none seem to have any mac experience. Since the router appears to be working flawlessly, does this sound like a Bellsouth problem or could it be related to something connected to my router that I am not familiar with?

P.S. When I am home using my Apple Base Station with same server/upload info. it flies!

Your DSL most likely has a relatively low upload connection. Very few DSL services even offer uploads that are anywhere close to the download speeds they provide. My SBC DSL has a download of up to 3Mbps, but my upload is only about 350kbps. This kind of DSL is certainly not good for running a busy server on.
