I just got my G5 iMac back from the Apple store after having a new MB and Power Supply put in. Everything now works fine, except when I tried to run FCE, which had run fine before the repair.

I ended up reloading FCE from my disk, (yes, it IS a legit copy I own!). It is working fine again, but does anyone have an idea why it needed to be reinstalled? Is the license tied to a MB?

Thanks for any ideas on this.

(G5 iMac 17", 1.8 GHz, 1 GB Ram, OSX 10.4)

It's probably due to the changes in the system files that occured when the new motherboard was installed. They must have had to tinker with the system files (maybe they reinstalled the OS???) a bit after the new MB was loaded and in the process your "data" which contained the licensing info was lost or changed somehow.
