So this might be my very first spam here, but I'll hopefully be forgiven

It's the hardest way to make an easy living, but it's also a whole lot of fun following your dreams. And some people do get lucky at it. Operator Please, my fiancé's band, has been mentioned here before when they got featured on YouTube and consequently in David Pogue's hilarious iPhone review.

Their single has now been released in Australia (already been out in the UK for a while as well as worldwide iTunes). So it would be very much appreciated if the Australians here could either go to the store and get the single, buy it on iTunes (where it has already charted at #15). Or both

It would be amazing to see it enter the charts in the top ten. And could even help us eat later down the track (Music business is all work for little money - at least for a long while).

Ironically, this would probably lead to my future wife being more away from me, although at the moment I don't see how she could physically be more away as she's gone for at least 90% of the year. But what the hey - success now could set us up later on. So any help from you guys would be very very much appreciated.

And of course, if you are not in Australia, buying it off iTunes anyway helps too.

Apologies again for the spam. I'd do the same for you guys (other people with iTunes here, give a holler and I'll give back in return).

Thanks,
Erik (and Sarah)

I'll check it out to see if it's any good, I've got a few free song vouchers for the iTunes store from a recent promotion in the UK, been wondering what to buy. I'll let you know.

Give it time dude. You're getting exposure in all the right places.

How's about a shouty-pop* cover version of AC/DC's "It's A Long Way To The Top" then?

(* Channel 4's description, not mine)

Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

Careful what you wish for, eric. Two years down the line and your honey-bunny could be triple platinum... and shagging Justin Timberlake.

Damn. Elephants have nothing on turtles when it comes to memory. I honestly couldn't remember posting that.

Of course, that was merely voting for them, not actually spending any money on them

This old geezer downloaded it. Kind of catchy. Best of luck to her and the band.

We are well aware of the traps and pitfalls of fame even at this early stage
