I have an iMac with a 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running OS 10.6.2 and I am trying to use headphones with a mic on it to use for gaming. However when I try to use it I get a lot of static like noise in my ears and I've had someone tell me they could hear it also. I've used 3 different Logitech models and now I'm trying a Plantronics model and they all have the same result.

I'm playing the games on the Windows Vista side and I'm playing Left 4 Dead on the Steam engine. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere or will this not work since I'm on an Apple computer trying to use it on the Windows side? I appreciate any help at all. Thank you.

Albert
