You'll see a bunch of these.. I think it's caused by shift + up and then backspace since I see it all the time but:



always one of those suckers appears on a line every now and then. It looks really embarassing in a mac chat room to see someone actually say "/me does blah" lol

This problem did in fact start with OS 10.3

Why would you be hitting those key combinations? I assume up means the up arrow, and backspace is delete?
I cannot produce that here. In fact when hitting shift up arrow, it will highlight text previous to what i am typing.

Have you tried going to the terminal.app preferences, selecting keyboard from the menu an unchecking delete key sends backspace? I too am kinda confused here.

In IRC apps, since you're only typing one line, shift+up is the equivilent of shift+home.

Hitting backspace though, yeah.. it's not a terminal thing I don't think, but I'm not sure if this happens in 10.3.4, time will tell
