Any other UK people having problems accessing the shipment tracking? I keep getting a "The requested application was not found on this server" error message.

Yes, same message. It was working earlier. I suppose we'll have to wait until the sysadmin's called in to fix.

Mine is held also:
"Held at Sort Facility/MEMPHIS TN "
Ironically, it flew over my house from Alaska to Memphis! I guess Fedex ships to a central point first in North America, then out. I wonder if the hold is because they don't sort on the weekend?
My estimated arrival date is Tuesday.... pretty cool!

That's exactly the same thing for me, except mine was picked up on the 24th. Where do you check your status? Through the Apple Shipment Status?

I ordered my 15" Powerbook 1.5 GHz with all the extras from the UK Apple Store on Monday 19th at about 6pm
The status on the UK Store page says 'Shipped 23/04/2004'. There is no further tracking information on that page or on the linked page, and I couldn't get any more from TNT's website with the given tracking numbers
I called the Apple Store this morning to see what was going on. I was told that the Powerbook was on it's way from Taiwan and that the tracking system doesn't work until the package is picked up by TNT Europe in the Netherlands, which he said would be tomorrow (Tuesday 27th) or the day after
I assume this is the same for other European orders

I recall when I ordered my iPod it showed leaving Taiwan on the order page as well as arrival in the Netherlands so I would have thought it should show something if it's left Taiwan (as per my post above).
Once TNT have picked it up the tracking number should then be trackable via TNT's page as well as Apple's own.
Also, I'm surprised it's taking so long for the shipment from Taiwan, my iPod was sent the day I ordered it and arrived at my door 6 days later, I believe it only took a day or two to get to Holland from Taiwan.

I would expect this too. The tracking part of the UK Apple Store has changed since I last ordered from there. I get the impression that it's not working for that part of the shipment

Ordered a stock 15" 1.33 from the Japan Apple Store on the 21st and up to now it is still in the middle of 'payment verification'.
This is mainly because I opted to pay for it through a convenience store (a common method of payment over here) which takes a little while to process. Should have a shipping date by tomorrow.
I really hope so, as I am going utterly insane.

Just arrived baby! 1.5, 128 MB video, 80 GB drive, 512, etc., etc. This thing is beautiful. Screen is perfect, no dead pixels. The machine is solid.
I'm reformatting and the drive for a clean install. Then I'm going to fire up Firewire target disk mode and copy the essentials (music, photos, word papers, etc) from my 12 inch.
I think I'm in love again (don't tell my wife!)

Get rid of all the pre-installed junk that isnt necessary?
Also just to feel in control of everything i put on my mac

My machine has now been sitting in Memphis for 2 days! It still says that it is held at the sorting facility.
I called them and they said it would be on a plane tonight to BC Canada, and will be delivered by the end of the business day tomorrow.
Here's hoping!

My sleevecase from Waterfield Design and my 1gb samsung memory upgrade for second memory slot have been delivered today. My only problem is that my 15" Alpbook is still showing as Open est shipping on or before 4/27. Please Apple: do not keep me waiting much longer.
Some more detailed reports on bto 15's with 5400 hd and 128 vram will have to keep me satisfied for a few more days.

ordered a 12 inch powerbook on the 23rd of April. delivery on or before May 3. I hope it's before.
i can't resist recommending this website.
http://www.unknown.nu/mercury/
In light of the technological marvels like the powerbooks being delivered here. why not try out
these radio plays . For those who love stories and would like to know more about the great Orson Welles. Here;s a page with many of his radio shows including War of the Worlds for download for free. A National Treasure indeed. I've downloaded and listened to many of these- a great way to go to sleep at night- with a great story. Welles would be pleased I;m sure to know that his radio work is now avvailable to the digital generation. Peace.
by the way the powerbook speakers are great for listening to the radio i think

My order was supposed to arrive on or before 4-26-2004. The only problem is that that is today, and my powerbook hasn't even shipped yet.
WTH apple?! I just ordered some crucial memory and if that beats my powerbook here I am going to be very upset. I don't know what I'll do about it, but I'll do something. Probably go for a jog, but whatever.
Anyway, I'm getting sick of sitting around waiting for my email confirmation.
Good news is that I've complained to Apple so much that if it doesn't come today I get my shipping charges refunded.
