On my old computer, I had a song at over 1200 plays... haha.
I would post my top 3 played songs, BUT my Macbook is getting its top cover replaced because of a chip/crack on the palm rest bit! I'll post them later, have no fear.

Pretty much describes my music tastes. Hardcore/metal and a folkster who killed himself with pills.

Over the years I have lost my play-count history during an upgrade or deliberately reset it to start anew.
I have never let it build up a play-count more than a year. Right now my current top three are as follows.
DeVotchKa, "The Clockwise Witness" - 26
Arcade Fire, "Ocean of Noise" - 25 (tie)
The Mountain Goats, "This Year" - 25 (tie)
Damien Rice, "9 Crimes" - 13
In the rest of my top 50 there is a lot of DeVotchKa, Smashing Pumpkins, and Luna.

My wife and I share our music library, which kinda throws things off a bit (also I lost my entire collection about two years ago which means my playcounts aren't as old as hers) so here's mine:
201 - Between the Bars - Elliott Smith (never heard of the song or artist before)
177 - A Lack of Color - Death Cab for Cutie (don't think I've ever listened to it)
171 - Love Will Come Through - Travis (also never heard of the song or artist before, though I'm listening to it right now and like it)
Unfortunately there's no way to really restrict it to just my songs since there's a large amount of overlap between the songs we listen to.

She just puts them on her iPod and listens to them in the car and at the gym. When we're both at home we have a subset of music that we both like and listen to. Our tastes have quite a lot of overlap, but some of our favorite stuff tends to be at the edges where there isn't overlap.
Also she works in the music industry and deals with a lot of indie artists, so she has a lot of stuff that pretty much no one's ever heard of (though a lot of it is really good; check out OurStage.com if you're interested).

The kid is an amazing singer. Their last album wasn't quite so incredible as the first, but still pretty good.
We went to see them open up for Casting Crowns earlier this year. We watched Leeland, listened to one Casting Crowns song, and then left.

Bodysnatchers is an amazing song!

My highest right now is "Smile like you mean it," by The Killers with I believe 35. I'm not at home to check (I know it's in the 30's.)

Josh Bates, Nichole Nordeman, and Casting Crowns came to Ames a couple years back. My then-girlfriend loved Nichole so I managed to get us in for free through a friend that was looking for people to help sell merchandise between acts, and as payment we all got a free shirt. I ended up getting a Casting Crowns shirt that I wear occasionally just because I like the colors - I actually don't have a single one of their songs in my iTunes. They're okay, just a bit "generic" for me.

Bodysnatchers is great. Love the distortion on that one. Actually, In Rainbows as a whole is good. I am big into Radiohead. Although I think that in a day or two Magic Doors by Portishead will have overtaken them for the #1 spot in my library.
Smile Like You Mean It is also good - and Hot Fuss is an awesome album. Mr. Brightside is one of the best songs I have ever heard, actually. You really get his angst in that song.
Funny, I really like depressing music.

Magic Doors has been moving up my play-count number as well. Overall I give Third about a B+ but Magic Doors and Hunter are tops.

I have to say Everything wIll be Alright is my favorite off the album. I'd kill to have that electronic jingle in the middle as a stand-alone ringtone.

What phone do you have?
You should be able to make it with this app fairly easily.
What I have done before is snipped a section of the song, and then bluetooth'd it to my phone.

Your wife has good taste. You however need education. I prescribe Elliot Smith's Figure 8 on repeat

My tastes tend to run in a slightly different direction. Lately I've been listening mostly to Classica/Baroque/Romantic, Hip Hop, and Reggae.

I basically obsessed with Tosh. Freaking fantastic. I like Marley too, but mostly his older stuff (when it was a sort of early proto-reggae). Also a massive fan of Linton Kwesi Johnson, who's in something of a category of his own. My wife is a massive John Brown's Body fan, and goes to pretty much every one of their concerts that are in range (which is quite a few as they play at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston as well as Stone Church in New Hampshire quite often). I like them too, but am not such a fan of their live performances (at least the one I've been to, I'm going to give them another shot next time they're nearby). We actually almost hired the JBBs to play our wedding, but ended up going with a local funk band (which turned out to be one of the best ideas ever).

I'm always impressed whenever a song longer than 6 minutes makes it pretty far up the ladder. Technically, I've spent more time listening to Mona Lisa than the two songs above it combined.

Yeah, my statement wasn't entirely accurate, as I switched to a phone I can't add custom ringtones to (easily) two months ago.
Thanks though!

About half the songs in my library are longer than six minutes, I’d guess. In my screenshot on page one, there are five that are longer than six minutes (though one of them is like 6:02, so almost cheating).
