How to tell if a PC notebook can power a Samsung 1900 x1024 LCD monitor?
This isn't an issue on Macs, so have no idea what to do. Please assist - my job is upgrading my system and I prefer a Thinkpad like this:
Lenovo ThinkPad T410 2518 - Core i5 540M 2.53 GHz - 14.1" TFT and other Notebook Computers at CDW.com
(Video Output - Graphics Processor Vendor: Intel 5700MHD , Intel HD Graphics )
but I have no idea if it will power my screen.
Thanks. Cheers to anyone who can link me to a recommended system on CDW or anywhere else.

From your site
Video Output
Graphics Processor Vendor: Intel HD Graphics
Mainboard
Chipset Type: Mobile Intel QM57 Express
Connector Type: 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15)
Interface: VGA
Type: Display / video
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Connector Type: 20 pin DisplayPort
Interface: DisplayPort
Type: Audio / video
That chipset supports:
HDMI delivers uncompressed HD video and uncompressed multi-channel audio in a single cable, supporting all HD formats including 720p, 1080i and 1080p. This chipset also supports the DisplayPort* interface with up to 2560 x 1600 resolution.
Looks like you're good to go with that one.

Sorry,
The above info is only partially correct, but you're still golden with it.

Also note that a dual-link DVI connection is not included in its spec, so it's limited to 1920x1200 via DVI and by extension

Also, for the record: 1900 x 1024 is a really weird resolution. I've never actually heard of that one before.
