I am in search of an older iMac for my son for christmas. Does anyone know where i can get one cheap other than ebay (already searching ebay) or does anyone have one for sale? My price range is $350-400. That includes money for RAM upgrade. It does need to be in working order (HD ect)( keyboard and mouse would be nice). Any help would be appreciated.

try these sites-they have very good prices on refurbished/new macs:

www.powermax.com
dealmac.com
ebay
lowendmac.com
poweron.com

i would suggest powermax first-it is a great purchasing site

I'm considering selling my girlfriend's iMac to get her an iBook. It's a G3 350 CD-rom with 6GB (I think it's 6.. might be 10), and I upgraded the RAM a while ago... so it's got either 256 or something like that. OS 9.1 running smoothly... keyboard and mouse in good condition. USB floppy drive (bought for $70)... rarely used. USB ZIP 100 (bought for $150) rarely used. It's blueberry...

Here's what I was thinking...

$400 for the iMac (I'll throw in the Floppy drive)
$50 for the USB ZIP 100

Dunno if you're interested.. maybe we can work something out and get some Christmas presents taken care of.
