I know I am buying one of the two. Who knows for sure though which one. iBook's; I hoped they would be G4's, but G3's these days just don't seem that fast. With the price difference I could get a PowerBook w/ a G4, larger screen, etc.

I'm seriously tempted to sell my 700/128/40gb/combo/12.1", mainly for the new Radeon 7500 in the new one, and the fact that the hinge plastics are slightly crooked on mine - I know, not a huge deal for a normal person, but it's become something of an obsession to me...but I probably can't do it for much less than $1100.

knowing my luck, the new one i'd get will probably have some insignificant flaw that will drive me crazy...

I sold my 700 with 384 MB of RAM and an Airport card late last week for over $1500.

You are right, eBay does indeed rock!

Well CRAP! You beat me! Grrrr.... I was so damn busy last week. I knew I should have listed it earlier.

Anyway, I still get a completely free upgrade including the 2-day shipping charges. And add to that the free printer and carrying case (after rebates) which I'll make about $65-$75 total from eBay. And the free stuff only added $4.00 to my shipping costs.

Anyway, for the doubters of those insane eBay prices, check out the recently sold iBooks on eBay.

My new 800 will arrive Friday. I can't wait dammit! My iBook 700 was "just about" a decent speed. With +100Mhz and double the video memory with the 32MB Mobility Radeon, QE will be happy.

Keep the rubber side down!
