Just wondering if the Soho store has the 17 inchers in stock.

Don't know about the Soho store but I was in the Roosevelt Field store on Thursday and they had just gotten their first shipment.
They were just putting one out on the floor and I got a chance to play with it, it is truly beautiful!

That's really weird. The Oakbrook IL apple store has had constant stock for 16 days now.

I was in Apple Soho about a week or so ago and they didn't have any, not even on the floor.
J&R Computer does have them on floor and in stock, I was just in there yesterday.
I must say it's an awesome notebook. Not nearly as burdensome as I imagined it would be. But for now, I'll stick with my humble iBook...

I remember a post a long time ago that said that Soho had 200 or more preorders - that would certainly count for why they are not yet available for walkins.

I was as Soho yesterday (4/6) and a 17 inch is on display and working well. Tekserve has had theirs on display for weeks.
