It's nothing much, but Safari does have a simple HTML editor built-in.

Make sure the Debug menu is enabled. From the Debug menu select "Show Snippet Editor". Enter some code, and hit Convert (or Show).

And viola.
(Or voil�..if you wanna get technical )

interesting - I'd never enabled the debug menu before.

This sheet from the "Page Load Test" would explain why safari has been getting slow after a long uptime:

Maybe we'll see an Apple branded WYSIWYG HTML editor based on webcore before not too long.
