So, I'm about to get an iBook.

900MHz, combo drive, 60 gig HD, Airport.

No way in hell am I gonna get the RAM from Apple. Does anyone know somewhere that either A) ships to Australia without hassles, or B) is in Australia, that sells RAM for a good price? The latter would be preferred...

The place I usually order from (gamedude, in Queensland) only stocks 256 MB SO-DIMMs. I want a 512 chip. Beecom doesn't even stock SO-DIMMs.

I'm sure I could ask them to get one in, but that's a pain in the ass. Any ideas?

I don't know where in Aus you live at,

but if there i just got ram from a local PC (cherry's)store for my mac for $130 for 512megs of SD ram.

Or you could just order one from IT warehouse or something for probably even cheaper.

I'm in Sydney. Yeah, I just figure I'll ask around at Capitol Square, or the computer markets or something. It'd be simple if I just wanted a standard DIMM, but I need a SO-DIMM, so... complications ensue.

Awesome, thanks guys.

Dai: yeah, that's probably what I'll end up doing in the end; I just don't like to use credit cards online. I'll see what those guys can do about it.

Thanks again.
