Maybe I am just a half-brain, but I can't figure this out! Help! Removing a buddy from the Address Book does not remove him/her from the buddy lust in IChat

In iChat AV, simply select the buddy in the list that you want to remove, and hit delete. It will prompt you to confirm that you want to permantly remove the buddy. I assume it works the same way with regular iChat as well.

I had a hard time figuring that out too. The cut command should be enabled for that.

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Isn't cut for copying the item then deleting it?

Cutting is not the right thing for this at all. Cutting is designed for removing an item from one location and inserting it somewhere else.
